Dropshipzone’s Promotion Service allows Suppliers to join site-wide promotional events and expose their products to more Retailers. In this section, we’ll outline how the Promotion Service works and discuss the benefits of joining promotional events.
What is the Promotion Service?
On a fortnightly cycle, Dropshipzone will create a promotional event that suppliers can join to promote their products. These events may be category-specific (e.g. Summer Furniture Sale) or may be open to all categories (e.g. October Specials). Once an event has been created, it will be open for submissions until the submission close date (one week after event creation). Suppliers can join a promotional event and submit products at any point prior to the submission window closure. On the event start date, SKUs submitted to a promotional event will appear to Retailers on our Promotions page with a highlighted discount tag and may also feature in newsletters and banners.
- To access Promotion Service, click on ‘Product Promotion’ under the Marketing tab in Supplier Portal.
- You can view all scheduled active events by clicking the tab ‘Events for Submission’.
- View the event details and rules by clicking on the event name.
- View past events that you have participated in by clicking on the ‘Events History’ tab.
How to join a Promotion Service event
- Find the event you want to participate in on the Promotion Service page.
- Click on the event name to check the event details including eligibility criteria and submission window. You can view this information under Event Description & Rules.
- Under the Actions column, click ‘Join’. From here you can directly upload your products to the event page under the Instructions section.
- Click ‘Template’ to download the promotion submission form.
- Fill in the SKU and promotion price fields.
- Upload your chosen products with your promotion price according to the event rules. You can resubmit products and augment the promotion price at any point before the submission window closes. Note: Prices will be rounded to two decimal places, e.g. $20.00.
- Once products are submitted to promotion services and the submission window has closed, the system will lock the price at the date of submission as the regular price, which means you cannot submit a new price via Price Review until the promotion ends.
Each SKU can only participate in one event at a time.
Some events feature a minimum discount offering (e.g. 15%), which means you cannot offer a promotion price that is below the specified percentage.
The current price of the SKU will be locked as the regular price until the promotion ends.
SKUs that change categories after submission to an event may be excluded from the promotion.
If you need to update a submitted SKU, please reupload the SKU to the Promotion Event. Previously submitted data will be erased and replaced by the latest uploaded data.
Currently, there is no way to exit a promotional event once you have joined and uploaded products. You must provide at least 1 SKU for promotional events.
Making the most of a promotion
With our Promotion Service, you can easily promote your products, boost sales and increase exposure to Retailers. Products that are promoted gain access to key exposure points including the Dropshipzone banner and newsletter, helping your brand gain traction. They can provide an immediate income boost and stimulate demand for your products. Promotions can also help you capitalise on current trends, or move excess stock and make space for new trending products. With regular promotional events, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to increase brand awareness.

No. Once the event is over, prices will revert back to the original price.
Yes. Dropshipzone Suppliers can join upcoming promotional events on a self-serve basis. Once you find a promotional event of interest, simply upload your relevant SKUs and their promotion prices to participate. You can continue to submit products and prices to the event until the submission window closes. Note: You can only join one promotional event at a time.
No. API integration is not currently available for Promotion Service.
If you would like your products to be shown to Retailers at a discount (e.g. 30% off), you will need to join a Promotion Event. If you would like to change the price of your products, you can edit your product prices during the Price Review cycle (see Chapter 2: Adding and updating products for more information).
Suppliers can work with their Account Managers to help their products reach more Retailers. In order to become a recommended Supplier, you must meet certain criteria regarding your performance:
- Your business has a low return rate.
- Your orders are shipped promptly.
- Sufficient inventory levels.
- Competitive pricing.
